Once COVID-19 hit our shores, it was a time to reflect, take time with family and find ways to move forward in the new normal. Like many good ideas, they come at a time of change -- and this is when Little Trading Post was developed.
During that time, my two children continued to grow and change. Together we sat down and went through the endless boxes we had sitting in our garage of clothing that no longer fit, but still in great condition.
I am a fan of op-shopping. There is a certain satisfaction that comes with finding an item that fits like a glove but at a quarter of the price. Furthermore, the benefit to our Mother Earth by purchasing second-hand versus new, just adds that layer of warmth into your heart knowing you are doing good by her.
So with a ton of pre-loved clothing that no longer fit blended with my love of secondhand shopping --- BOOM, Little Trading Post came to live. (to be fair, my husband Marcus came up with the name)
With my new enthusiasm, I jumped right onto it. Little Trading Post evolved into an online consignment store dedicated to children. Currently our focus in on our home town of Queenstown and the Southern Lakes region. As the site evolves, we might as well. But for now, we are here and we are looking forward to helping pre-loved children's clothing, shoes, uniforms, bikes, ballet outfits and more find a new home.
Lots of Love
